Jeff Houin – It’s always the last one I composed! I wrote a song about my brother when he was in the hospital in pretty serious condition. I recently recorded it and it came out so much better than I could have hoped for.
Jeff Spencer – One of the bands I’m in now is working on an album and it is turning out to be amazing. We will publicize when it is time.
Rex Harsin – We do a crazy piece in STG we call “E Jam” it’s just us going crazy on a bunch of different and often unpredictable songs in the key of E.
Jeff Houin – John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. His bass playing had the most influence on my playing (and I have had so many great influences). I love the fact the he is a multi-instrumentalist. I have enjoyed playing multiple instruments and this interest was stoked by JPJ. He put the coolest nuances into many of Zeppelin’s greatest songs.
Jeff Spencer – Jimmy Page. He is the mastermind behind the greatest rock band ever. His composing and layering of guitar parts on the Zeppelin albums is some of the most brilliant work in rock history.
Todd Hunt – John Bonham. His drum sound is my holy grail and the power he played with still amazes me.
Rex – Stevie Ray Vaughan. I tell people he was my best friend in high school because I spent more time playing guitar in my room to his albums than I did with any other human being during my teenage years.
